My Story
I was born in Canada and moved to New Zealand when I was 8 years old. I grew up always having a pet, weather it be a dog, cat, bird, fish or a mixture of the lot. When I finished high school I went on to become a registered Veterinary Technician. Being a Vet Tech was one of the most amazing things I have ever accomplished.
Family called upon me to move back to Canada where sadly my Vet Tech qualification was not recognized.
A few years down the road I found myself in bed awake, thinking of what I can do to help animals and feel fulfilled in my line of work once again.
It was like a light bulb moment when the thought came to me that I can use my Veterinary knowledge, as well as being a Reiki Master to help animals and their owners with their energy healing needs.
healingpetpaws.com was founded with the mission to help your pet family members and you find balance and healing through the use of Reiki.
My Fur Babies
Atlas
Atlas is a King Charles Cavalier x Poodle = Cavapoo.
She was born in Nov 2014. Atlas LOVES cuddles and to give you kisses. She is not fond of walks or you giving attention to anyone but her.
You can tell she grew up with cats as she cleans her face like a cat would.
A few of her nicknames are:
Miss Fast Lips, Floor Snacks McGee, Little Jealous McGits, and Licky Lickerson.
Comet
Comet is a purebred Ragdoll that was born with one eye in 2012. Don't let him know he is different because he has NO idea. This 20lb cat is more like a dog, he runs up to you meowing for cuddles and loves to be snuggled up getting pets.
Nova is his best friend and Comet will find Nova and get him to clean his ears or face. Its adorable to watch.
Nova
Nova the eldest of the bunch and is a Ragdoll x Himalayan born in 2011. Snuggles are on his time and terms only but once the cuddles start he never wants them to stop.
Nova and Comet are the best of friends and have been inseparabl since they met. Nova has a special MEOW that he does when he cant find comet around, as soon as he does it Comet comes. The connection between them its very sweet (just not at 5am when Nova goes around yelling looking for Comet).
Eevee & Ringo
Eevee born in 2021 and Ringo born in 2023 are the youngest but the biggest of the pack. Both are rescues.
Eevee loves to stay on the look out for any squirrel that may cross her path so she can protect you from it. Her fur is so soft you will want to pet her all day long.
Ringo is the happiest boy you ever did meet that will play fetch till his little hearts content then cuddle up with you on the couch to watch some TV.
